days until Siouxperman 2010
The Siouxperman Triathlon began as a dream conceived at a lunch table in a local Mexican restaurant during the summer of 2006; Community-lovers and spirited athletes dreamed of hosting an event that would involve the entire community, promote wellness, be fun and well organized, utilize excellent facilities, and serve athletes well.
The dream became a reality on May 5, 2007. The first annual Siouxperman Triathlon was a HUGE success! Nearly 250 athletes participated in the event held in Sioux Center. They were encouraged and directed by over 100 volunteers from the community as well as personnel from the local police department, EMTs, fire department, and the Sioux County Sheriff's Office. In 2008, the second Siouxperman Triathlon hosted over 300 participants and was again a huge success. And 2009 followed suit with another spectacular event!
A few improvements have been made to the event, but the original commitment remains: Community, wellness, excellence, and fun. Don't miss it! Be a part of the next Siouxperman - sign up, volunteer, donate, or cheer from your front porch. The Siouxperman Triathlon of Sioux Center, Iowa is indeed a super event!

Where does one start? We all come from a myriad of backgrounds, prior injuries, different genetics, etc. Selecting and starting with an appropriate training plan will be a very important decision that will allow you to reach your goals if selected properly or end in injury or burnout, if that plan is chosen incorrectly.
Choosing a Triathlon Training Plan

Sioux Center, a community of over 6,300 people has grown 176% in population since 1960. Ideally located in Sioux County in northwest Iowa on U.S. Highway 75 and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad's main line, only 35 miles from I-29 and I-90, midway between Sioux City, Iowa and Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Sioux Center's growth and modernization has been steady through the years. Paved streets, underground electric and telephone, fiber optic cable, well-kept homes, beautiful trees and flowers make Sioux Center a clean and attractive city.
The people of Sioux Center are friendly, charitable, cooperative, community-minded and very productive. Our community is comprised of people who like the better things of life, people who like to live and educate their children in a wholesome Christian environment.
Sioux Center is conveniently nestled in the corner of Northwest Iowa. US Highway 75 runs through the heart of the city which is located approximately 60 minutes southeast of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; or 45 minutes northeast of Sioux City, Iowa; or 60 minutes straight west of Spencer, Iowa. The ALL SEASONS CENTER can be found on 7th street northeast - or across the road from Dordt College.
